Data Scientist
Data Analysis and Modeling
Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze complex datasets.
Extract, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights.
Automation and Optimization
Design and deploy automated data pipelines and workflows to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting.
Develop and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards to deliver real-time insights.
Implement and optimize data processing algorithms to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business units, to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Provide guidance on data-driven decision-making and best practices for automation.
Technology and Tools
Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and automation tasks.
Leverage data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar for presenting insights.
Implement and manage data automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue).
Continuous Improvement
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science and automation technologies.
Identify opportunities for improving existing data processes and automation systems.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data science and automation within the organization.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology is required.
3+ years of experience in security operations, administration, networks, IT operations, and maintenance in on-premises and cloud environments.
Understanding of Cloud networking, security, and governance principles.
Experience in the utility industry is preferred.
