Data Scientist

About the role

The Data Science & Analytics team at Jerry.ai is seeking 4-6 talented individuals to join our growing team. Our mission is to drive impact in areas such as growth marketing, product development, AI & automation, and strategic partnerships. You will be embedded in one of Jerry's core business units and own the analytical function end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Define the right problems: Understand business questions and inform decision-making.
• Push back on flawed questions and ensure data-driven insights are used to shape initiatives.
• Build and analyze data to inform key metrics and drive outcomes.
• Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to stakeholders, influencing decisions at the leadership level.
• Own the analytical function for your assigned business unit, ensuring alignment with broader goals.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently.
• Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact.
• Clear, persuasive communication skills to influence decisions at the leadership level.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with SQL or Python.
• First principles thinking: Break down problems into clear hypotheses before diving into data.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Data analysis and interpretation.
• SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Metabase.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with Jupyter Hub and GitHub.
