Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop analytic products and services using data science techniques in support of the OSW Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) Defense Analyst Support Hub (DASH).
• Function as a part of the DASH Data Science team.
• Afford support in completing statistical analysis and creating data visualizations.
• Afford assistance in developing analysis summary products for CAPE Study leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, data science, or other STEM disciplines.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience applying data science techniques such as statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, Data/Database Engineering, Machine Learning, and Visualization.
• Secret clearance with the ability to secure a Top-Secret and SCI eligibility.
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.

Desired

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with applying data science techniques.
• Master’s degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, or other applicable STEM disciplines.
• Programming competency in R, Python, or other languages suitable for managing and analyzing large datasets.
• Operational experience in a military service or DoW environment.
• Able to work effectively as part of an integrated team and adept at interfacing with clients.
