We typically interact with the data using a blend of programming and query languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R). We run experiments using cloud computing services (e.g., EC2) or local machines. Duties/Responsibilities Build lasting partnerships with stakeholders to deliver solutions that positively impact our members and providersHarness the potential of complex, disparate data sources to create robust solutionsUse statistical modeling and machine learning to predict key outcomes and explain main driversHelp us build responsible algorithms that are fair to our members and their communitiesAdditional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalentTwo (2) years of experience using data science tools like SQL, R or PythonPrior work or academic experience applying statistical and machine learning methodsFamiliarity with cloud technologiesContinuous Learning Mindset Preferred Qualifications Master’s degreeExperience working with large sets of healthcare dataExperience with statistical modeling, machine learning, experimentation and casual / interference methods as appropriate to business problemsExperience collaborating across data science, engineering, product, and business teams.Experience with AWS and Amazon SageMaker for developing, training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models in production.Experience with DBT for building, testing, documenting, and maintaining scalable data transformation pipelines We have openings across multiple teams within our data science community; a specific role and manager will be determined during our hiring process. Healthfirst offers remote and hybrid work opportunities. Hiring Range*: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $108,300 - $156,485All Other Locations (within approved locations): $99,100 - $147,390 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Healthfirst believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package wherever its employees work and live. The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in “good faith” would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
