Data Scientist

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying and enhancing their skills in developing, running, and analyzing complex queries against massive scale data stores. They will also be expected to increase their skills in All-Source data analysis to provide technical targeting analytic support to the Sponsor Agency.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate high-volume structured and unstructured data to perform analysis and generate reporting/products.
• Use analytic techniques and tools to perform technical targeting analytic support for the Sponsor.
• Perform large scale parallel processing of data, and develop, validate, and use methodologies to support analytic requirements in Clustered Computing environments.

Requirements

• An active security clearance with a polygraph.
• Demonstrated experience with ECL and HPCC.
• Demonstrated experience using analytic techniques and tools to provide technical targeting analytic support for the Sponsor.
• Demonstrated experience manipulating high-volume structured and unstructured data to perform analysis and generate reporting/products.
• Demonstrated experience using computer languages (e.g., Python, R, Pig, Java, C, SQL) to perform large scale parallel processing of data.
• Demonstrated experience performing large scale parallel processing of data, and developing, validating, and using methodologies to support analytic requirements in Clustered Computing environments.

Qualifications

• Education or practical experience in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field is desired.
