Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze data from multiple data sources.
• Design and implement tools, data models, and algorithms to optimize data validation, accuracy, and analysis tasks.
• Create and present reports that detail findings, recommendations, and solutions.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or other relevant major from an institution regionally accredited by one of the following:
• Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
• Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
• Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
• New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE)
• Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC)
• Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College University Commission (WSCUC)
• Experience: Three (3) years of notable experience with software development, integration, or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
• Notable experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, API Building, ETL pipelines, Web Application Servers, or Search Index; experience using programming languages and products such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests, or Antigravity.
• Experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts, statistical and operations research methods and tools and development of spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization.
• TS Level Clearance required with SCI eligibility.

Location

The work location is North Charleston, SC, with 0-5% travel expected. This is an on-site position at a government lab.
