This role links business strategy to enterprise data by transforming structured and unstructured data into actionable information, advanced analytics, and predictive models that support data-driven decisions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Gather, process, clean, enrich, and integrate structured and unstructured data to build advanced models to turn data into insights.
- Creatively analyze data to understand drivers of historical business performance and build predictive models to inform future business strategies.
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization's data structure; improve data quality to enhance robust data analysis.
- Create new data sets when little or no data is available to inform marketing analysis.
- Engage with third-party data providers to strengthen and enrich data models; inform purchase of new data.
- Understand all sources of data across the enterprise, link to data strategy, and evolve ability to measure and track key data points.
- Collect and provide quantitative and qualitative information to measure effectiveness of marketing activities and answer strategic business questions.
- Analyze and discern campaign execution, targeting, and optimization of marketing investment to deliver sales and operating profit across brands.
- Utilize visualization solutions to improve timeliness of data delivery and provide better visibility to decision makers.
- Perform marketing research and analysis to inform customer targeting, segmentation, and longitudinal tracking of Customer Lifetime Value.
- Assist with internal assessments of workflow processes to identify inefficiencies, especially in Marketing, and propose automation solutions.
- Assist with maintenance and management of Marketing SQL database and Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
- Provide data science support and ad hoc analysis to enterprise leadership as needed.
- Perform additional projects or duties to support ongoing business needs.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of programming and analytical languages/tools such as Python, SQL, Perl, Java, C/C++, or similar technologies.
- Working understanding of data science methods, analytical tools, statistical techniques, and visualization approaches.
- Working understanding of data engineering concepts including data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data quality, databases, cloud data warehouses, and scalable data delivery.
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from multiple channels, systems, and sources.
- Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including explaining analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, including prioritization of multiple tasks and projects.
- Solid collaboration abilities; professional and diplomatic team builder across business, analytics, and technology teams.
- Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of work experience in a Marketing, Consulting, Business Analyst, or Data Science role.
- Light experience solving complex business problems involving analytics or data science.
- Marketing-based experience preferred (D2C or B2B performance marketing).
- HVAC industry experience preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or other related degree with strong quantitative emphasis.
