Data Science Senior Advisor (Pricing & Underwriting) - Remote

About the role

This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,200 – $218,600 annually

Responsibilities

• Contribute to comprehensive analytics for pricing and underwriting
• Execute projects to enhance Commercial Healthcare underwriting
• Utilize advanced analytics for actionable business insights
• Communicate findings to business stakeholders and leadership
• Stay updated on analytics tools and modernize pricing/UW processes
• Ensure solutions integrate with existing workflows while adding long-term value
• Collaborate to design and measure pilots for new solutions
• Develop models that align business problems with advanced data science techniques

Qualifications

• 5+ years direct Data Science experience in a healthcare related environment
• Strong background in statistics, ML, and model development
• Experience deploying ML/predictive models in production/cloud environments
• Strong programming skills with Python, SQL, Git, Keras, and TensorFlow
• Knowledge of common healthcare data such as claims and EHR
• Ability to create well-structured, documented code and perform peer reviews
• MS or PhD in a STEM-related field preferred
