Data Science Manager, Marketing Analytics

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead data science projects end-to-end: gathering requirements, cleaning complex datasets, and developing, evaluating, and productionizing innovative technical solutions, while optimizing existing incentive models
  • Implement MLOps best practices and establish automated processes to scale insights across Ibotta
  • Flex work between advanced ML capabilities and descriptive analyses to meet the business where it's at
  • Serve as a leader across the department, bringing operational and culture-building best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a measurement-driven function with experience working directly with leadership
  • 2+ years of management experience with a proven ability to hire and develop talent
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Expert-level experience with data analysis and pipeline tools, including Databricks, SQL, Python, Spark, Airflow, and Git/GitHub
  • Experience hiring, leading, developing, and retaining talent
  • Deep expertise in machine learning tools (e.g., Tensorflow, sci-kit learn, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks) and statistical techniques (Causal inference, A/B testing)
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills; experience in marketing/media measurement is strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional areas
  • Curiosity and the capability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Additional Job Description

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match.
  • Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. Equity is included in overall compensation package.
  • This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
