Data Quality & Systems Analyst
About the Role
The Data Quality & Systems Analyst supports the accuracy, completeness, and usability of company data by monitoring data quality, running reports, identifying issues, coordinating corrections, and supporting validation efforts across multiple systems. This role works closely with data architects, system owners, and operational teams to improve data quality processes, support reporting needs, and ensure business-critical information remains accurate and reliable. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about data integrity and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform routine audits of database records to identify inaccuracies, missing data, formatting issues, and inconsistencies
- Generate and review data quality, exception, and error reports
- Identify likely data issues and coordinate corrective actions with appropriate teams
- Distribute correction reports with clear timelines and expectations
- Verify completion of assigned data corrections
- Track unresolved, recurring, or escalated data quality issues
- Analyze trends and recommend process improvements to reduce recurring errors
- Run recurring reports, dashboards, exports, and data outputs using Power BI and other approved tools
- Review reporting outputs for completeness, accuracy, and unusual results
- Fulfill approved ad hoc reporting and data extraction requests
- Support standardized reporting deliverables for internal stakeholders
- Document reporting procedures, output requirements, and known data challenges
- Recommend improvements to reporting processes and workflows
- Assist with onboarding and validation of new or updated data streams
- Support testing and validation of new data feeds
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for reporting changes and system updates
- Review source data, transformations, and outputs to identify potential issues
- Utilize Snowflake or similar platforms for diagnostic review as assigned
- Escalate complex system, SQL, or architecture issues to appropriate technical teams
- Ensure data feeds meet quality standards before deployment
- Serve as a bridge between technical resources and operational users
- Communicate data issues, corrective actions, and reporting requirements
- Partner with departments to support timely resolution of data-related challenges
- Help establish expectations around reporting timelines and data quality standards
- Participate in discussions regarding business systems, reporting needs, and data governance
- Maintain documentation for audit processes, workflows, reporting procedures, and recurring issues
- Support training efforts for database and reporting users
- Assist with development of training materials and user guides
- Identify workflow gaps, user support needs, and training opportunities
- Support resource planning and forecasting efforts as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
- 3–5 years of experience in data quality, reporting, database support, business systems support, data operations, or related fields
- Experience reviewing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Experience generating reports and coordinating data corrections across teams
- Experience supporting system, reporting, or operational users
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and follow through to resolution
- Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working collaboratively across teams
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with Snowflake or similar data platforms
- Experience supporting data audits, validation, mapping, or feed testing
- Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Experience with data governance and data quality programs
- Experience working with both technical and operational teams
- Experience in construction, environmental consulting, engineering, or professional services industries
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a remote environment with occasional travel to office locations for meetings, training, and business needs.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday
- Flexible schedule based on business needs
- Occasional extended hours may be required during reporting cycles, system updates, data feed testing, or issue resolution efforts
Pay
$88,000 – $95,000 per year
