Data Operations Analyst
About the role
As a Data Operations Analyst within the Derivatives Operations team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the settlement lifecycle by authenticating and maintaining Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs), maintaining precise client reference data, and resolving exceptions quickly. You will partner across Operations and internal stakeholders to prevent payment errors and reduce financial and reputational risk through strong controls, sound judgment, and proactive escalation. You will have hands-on exposure to market products across foreign exchange, fixed income, and derivatives while operating within global funds transfer policies and regulatory requirements. You will work in a detail-driven, client-focused, and fast-paced environment with a direct impact on operational excellence and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Authenticate settlement instructions by completing external callback verification to ensure accuracy and control
- Create, update, review, and approve Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) in line with established procedures and governance
- Maintain high-quality client reference data, ensuring records are complete, current, and consistent across systems
- Proactively identify, investigate, and escalate potential payment risks or errors, helping protect clients and the firm from financial and reputational impact
- Deliver responsive, solutions-oriented support to internal partners and clients while adhering to global funds transfer policies and applicable regulatory requirements
- Monitor workflows and controls with strong risk awareness, resolving breaks and exceptions quickly and efficiently
- Collaborate with Operations teams to research inquiries, resolve escalations, and drive timely outcomes
- Apply knowledge of financial markets and the securities industry to support accurate settlements and issue resolution
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for tasks, follow-through, and end-to-end outcomes
- Use strong judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to manage moderately complex scenarios and recommend actionable solutions
- Uphold high standards of integrity and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and ethical conduct in settlement and payment processing

Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT MT) message standards for Message Type (MT103) and Message Type (MT202)
- Experience supporting CIB Operations Function/Line of Business

Pay
