Data Governance Consultant- Hybrid

6+ month contract opportunity located in Lakeville, MN (hybrid, 3 days on site). W2 rate of $68–$72/hr.

About the role

This role will focus on implementing and supporting a Master Data Management (MDM) solution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying data standards, defining business rules, and driving data stewardship activities to ensure data quality and governance in preparation for an upcoming integration and future acquisition readiness.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document data standards, business rules, master data, and data quality requirements
• Define data sources, mappings, and transformation logic
• Support attribute harmonization
• Drive workflow definition and data stewardship
• Manage test case design, test execution, and defect management
• Develop training material and provide training for the MDM implementation

Requirements

• Strong understanding of data governance best practices, tools (such as data cataloging tools), and business processes
• Ability to influence and drive consensus for data governance activities across data definitions, processes, and lineage
• Experience in requirements gathering, conducting workshops with business stakeholders, training, authoring and executing test cases, and using testing tools and documentation
