About the role
A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Data Governance professional to support the development and implementation of enterprise data governance practices across multiple business areas.
Responsibilities
- Support enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, policies, and processes.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders on data ownership, stewardship, quality, and governance.
- Support data definitions, metadata, data catalogs, lineage, and data quality initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and document governance requirements and processes.
- Help identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and usability.
- Track governance initiatives, issues, risks, and deliverables.
- Contribute to the ongoing maturity of the organization's data governance program.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
- Understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and operating models.
- Experience working across business and technology teams.
- Familiarity with data quality, metadata, data ownership, stewardship, or lineage.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft-based data environments, data catalogs, or governance tools is a plus.
Pay
$65 to $80 an hour, based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
