  • Support data access, sharing, usage, lifecycle, and privacy governance processes across the organization.
  • Participate in governance councils, working groups, data domain forums, assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain governance documentation, standards, procedures, decision logs, training materials, and other supporting artifacts.
  • Monitor adoption and effectiveness of governance policies and standards, reporting program metrics, maturity, risks, and compliance status to leadership.
  • Support data quality profiling, monitoring, and improvement initiatives, helping ensure reliable and consistent enterprise data.
  • Contribute to maturity assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and the evolution of the data governance operating model.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions that help stakeholders understand governance policies, standards, responsibilities, and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Systems or a related discipline with 5+ years of general experience and 7+ years of specialized experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise data governance programs and translating governance policies into practical operational processes.
  • Strong understanding of data quality management, metadata practices, data stewardship, governance frameworks, and operating models.
  • Experience defining and governing enterprise-wide data standards across multiple teams, systems, or delivery environments.
  • Experience working with high-sensitivity, regulated, or otherwise tightly controlled data and implementing appropriate privacy and security practices.
  • Practical experience with data quality profiling and monitoring techniques and common governance tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, integration patterns, and change data capture concepts.
  • Experience with metadata and data catalog platforms such as Collibra, Alation, or Qlik.
  • Experience implementing business glossaries, data lineage, and metadata capabilities within modern data platforms.
  • Ability to translate technical metadata and governance concepts into clear, business-friendly definitions and documentation.
  • Experience implementing data privacy controls, access management practices, and compliant data-sharing processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Preferred experience in federal government or other regulated environments, as well as familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks and data management certifications.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
