Purpose Of Position
Amalgamated Bank, America’s socially responsible bank, seeks a full-time Data Governance Analyst who will play a crucial role in ensuring effective data governance for our organization.
Essential Job Functions
- Aid in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Collaborate with data stewards and data owners across different departments to ensure adherence to data governance policies.
- Maintain data quality metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Conduct data reviews to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation of data governance tools and technologies to enhance data management processes.
- Create and maintain documentation related to data governance processes and procedures.
- Train bank employees on data governance best practices and policies.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support data governance initiatives and projects.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or a related technical role.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with data governance tools and technologies is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets.
Pay
The starting base salary for this role is between $100,000.00 – $115,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
Work Schedule
Effective February 18, 2025, employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more, on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
