About the role

Individual is responsible for data entry within the Specimen Processing Department. This position requires a data entry background.

Responsibilities

  • Determining and verifying client account numbers, patient demographics and order codes into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • May check the work/accuracy of more junior data entry employees
  • Responsible for requisitions that require special handling
  • Able to work in all SP data entry stations and sustain high levels of speed and accuracy
  • Mets standards for production and accuracy – 108% productivity rate
  • Data entry of all required billing information that appears on requisitions
  • Maintain Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Meets quality and production standards
  • Must be detail oriented and have ability to work independently

Qualifications

  • Required: 2-3 years prior data entry experience in a high-speed environment, or 1-2 years as a Data Entry Rep I
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a production environment
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Skills

  • Ability to key a minimum of 8,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour with minimal errors

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay range: $20.00+ per hour
  • Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
  • Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
