Data Entry Operator II
About the role
The Data Entry Operator II supports the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) agency within Amentum. This role involves accurately and efficiently entering information from various sources into a computer system.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently perform data entry of forms and reports specific to the assignment area and other forms as directed by supervisor
- Prep, label, and file records in preparation for document imaging
- Identify and submit potential problems or issues to appropriate levels of management
- Navigate through various computer functions including accessing and utilizing web browsers and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Perform tasks requiring attention to detail and accuracy
- Work under time constraints and manage time effectively
- Provide strong customer service skills
- Apply experience and judgment in selecting procedures and searching for items to be entered from various documented sources
Requirements
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow policies and procedures
- Experience in performing work requiring attention to detail and accuracy
- Good sense of time management and ability to work under time constraints
- Strong sense of teamwork and customer service
- Basic computer skills, including accurate use of keyboard, familiarity with web browsers, and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to type at minimum 40 wpm
- Frequent lifting up to 40 pounds
- Perform frequent repetitive motions using fingers, hands, wrists, and arms
- Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three months in current position
- Some telephonic customer service skills preferred
Skills
- Ability to operate keyboard-controlled data entry devices
- Understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment

Pay
$18.55 per hour
