Data Entry Coordinator
Job Summary
The Data Entry Coordinator (Pre-Authorization Department) position at University Radiology ensures that all Burks pre-authorization requests are up-to-date and accurately prepared for electronic submission. This role contributes to the team effort by performing various tasks such as entering authorization requests, scanning documents, sharing drives, and coordinating with other departments.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all Burks pre-authorization requests are up to date and accurately prepared for electronic submission
- Enters authorization requests received from referring providers for Burks clients
- Scans all received documents into MI and shares drive
- Inputs information from referring physician's offices to Burks online portal to process authorization requests
- Communicates with referring physicians' offices for information needed to complete authorization requests, provides feedback on status if required
- Inputs patient data and authorization information into MIFollows up on all Burks email communications regarding status of authorizations
- Congrats Scheduling and URG offices in order to confirm the ability to schedule patient exams
- Maintains charge entry is current and up to date
- Confirms insurance eligibility of patient and follows up as necessary
- Must be detail oriented, work independently with minimal supervision in a high volume, fast-paced work environment, work as part of a team, maintain a professional and positive work environment, be a self-starter with strong multitasking ability, establish and maintain excellent working relationships throughout URG, and have 2+ years experience in data entry
Requirements
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9/10 codes and medical terminology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
