About the role
The Delivery Coordinator supports the logistics and fleet operations of Red River Pharmacy Services by assisting with route planning, driver coordination, and delivery logistics. This full-time role ensures the timely, compliant, and safe delivery of pharmaceutical products and equipment under the direction of the Fleet Manager.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily delivery schedules, routes, and driver assignments to ensure efficient and timely service across assigned regions.
- Monitor and communicate route progress, adjusting for traffic, weather, or urgent delivery needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the pharmacy, delivery staff, and client facilities for logistical updates or delivery concerns.
- Aid the Fleet Manager with vehicle maintenance scheduling, mileage tracking, and compliance records.
- Verify that all delivery documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory standards (HIPAA, DOT, etc.).
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, returned goods, and delivery discrepancies.
- Support onboarding and training of new delivery drivers as needed.
- Aid in the continual improvement of routing efficiency, customer service, and fleet utilization.
- Participate in after-hours or weekend coordination as required to support the delivery operation.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or relevant certification in logistics, supply chain, or operations preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in delivery coordination, dispatch, or logistics; healthcare or pharmacy background preferred.
- Familiarity with route optimization software, GPS systems, and transportation scheduling.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and logistics management tools.
- Understanding of privacy and safety regulations in healthcare logistics.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs.
Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site position in Little Rock, AR.
- Fast-paced, collaborative setting requiring attention to detail and effective coordination between teams.
- May involve occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and extended periods of desk or phone work.
