About the role
Performs accurate data entry using a variety of platforms and performs various routine and defined clerical tasks in an office environment.
Responsibilities
- Inputs data into a tracking database or system.
- Retrieves documents or responds to requests for information from internal or external customers by phone or e-mail.
- May assist with general office tasks such as copying, mailing, and ordering supplies.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and graphics software.
- Basic oral communication skills; may write brief messages and keep simple records.
- May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
- Ability to solve routine, somewhat repetitive problems by following clear directions and procedures.
- Decisions generally affect one’s own job or assigned functional area.
- Work is guided by defined results and existing practices; works closely with supervisor/manager who provides broad guidance and overall direction.
- Ability to prioritize assigned and routine tasks appropriately.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
