Data Consultant II
About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to assist in translating client and user information needs into technical solutions, maximizing the use of technology while ensuring clear business benefits. This includes performing complex data analyses on large datasets containing clinical and financial data.
Responsibilities
- Aids in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of business solutions to optimize analytical processes and outcomes.
- Independently interprets results using various techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining and statistical analysis.
- Works with clients, internal and external consultants, and project and business leaders to identify analytical requirements.
- Supports the quality and consistency of data gathering, transformation, reporting, and analysis.
- Maintains scalable, user-friendly solutions and other processes using relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL processes with SSIS, Tableau, VBA, Python, or other programming languages, and statistics using JMP, R, Anaconda, or other statistical analysis programs and packages.
- Manages data in multiple databases and supports dashboards created as part of Healthcare Advisory Services offerings.
- Automates the production of solutions for scalability and supports the processes, tools, security, and quality around client projects and business information systems.
- Actively seeks opportunities to advance their software knowledge, data manipulation, and understanding of the healthcare industry.
- Selects and travels to meaningful conferences to advance skills in analytics and knowledge in healthcare software and data complexities.
Requirements
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information needs and efficiency opportunities to create necessary reports, interfaces, and processes.
- Supports and manages respective data in multiple databases.
- Supports and manages dashboards created as part of Healthcare Advisory Services offerings.
- Supports the processes, tools, security, and quality around client projects and business information systems.
- Maintains scalable, user-friendly solutions and other processes using relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL processes with SSIS, Tableau, VBA, Python, or other programming languages, and statistics using JMP, R, Anaconda, or other statistical analysis programs and packages.
- Interacts with clients through conference calls, web conferencing, and offsite or onsite meetings.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of healthcare software and data.
- Experience with relational databases, ETL processes, Tableau, VBA, Python, or other programming languages, and statistics using JMP, R, Anaconda, or other statistical analysis programs and packages.
- Ability to interpret results using various techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining and statistical analysis.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to stoop, reach, and move between work sites and inside the office.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
