About the role
This role is responsible for maintaining and governing core data configurations that serve as the foundation for operational execution and decision-making, reporting, and analytics across the IPP NA organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enforce data governance practices, ensuring adherence to defined data standards, naming conventions, and business rules.
- Own and support configuration of critical data elements across systems (e.g., Oracle, Agile, or similar platforms), ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Act as a steward of key datasets, ensuring data is complete, accurate, and trusted as the single source of truth across the organization.
- Perform ongoing audits, validations, and exception handling to proactively identify and resolve data issues.
- Support updates to data structures, hierarchies, and configurations, ensuring proper documentation, testing, and communication.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardize data maintenance processes to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
- Explore and implement automation opportunities for routine data processes (e.g., data validation, updates, and monitoring).
- Partner with supply chain, operations, IT, and analytics teams to align data structures with business needs and system capabilities.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data integrity, standards, and stewardship principles.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle, Agile, or similar ERP/PLM platforms is preferred.
- A high level of precision in managing and validating data configurations.
- The ability to identify root causes of data issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Experience with or curiosity in automating repetitive data processes (e.g., scripting, workflows, Power Platform, etc.).
- The ability to clearly explain data standards, impacts, and changes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work effectively across teams to ensure data alignment and consistency.
- A self-starter who proactively identifies gaps and drives improvements.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data management, system configuration, or data governance-related roles.
- Experience working with ERP/PLM systems (Oracle, Agile, or similar) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL or reporting tools is a plus but not required.
