About the role
This position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. The role involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation. Candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team, prioritize work, organize tasks, communicate effectively, and react quickly.
Responsibilities
- Working to meet SLA’s against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
- Being first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
- Performing regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.).
- Carrying out routine network, server hardware, and OS related repairs.
- Working with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.
- Adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center.
- Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement.
- Identifying and helping create documentation for use globally.
- Identifying and helping create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
- Performing server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required.
- Interacting with third party vendors & contractors.
- Contributing to the development of other team members.
Requirements
- 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma.
Skills
- Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Able to solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
- Able to maintain service level agreements through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting.
- Able to identify and help create documentation and process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
- Able to perform server upgrades, rebuilds, and scheduled works as required.
- Able to interact with third party vendors and contractors.
- Able to contribute to the development of other team members.

Pay
The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
