Data Center Technician - Afton, TX

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the data center’s IT system
• Tracing issues with direction from Dell Support
• Executing plans of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3
• Documenting POA results, logs, and service reports
• Managing parts locker and spare parts
• Participation in video interviews as a key part of the hiring process

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• May require technical certification or Associate Degree
• 4-6 years’ experience in area of responsibility

Qualifications

• Familiarity with network infrastructure and data center operations
• Strong understanding of server installations and network updates
• Experience with data center infrastructure including servers, racks, switches, and other hardware
• Ability to perform regular maintenance and updates to systems, software, and hardware
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and power supply management
• Experience with data backup and disaster recovery operations
• Ability to document procedures, systems, and network configurations
• Compliance with and maintenance of security standards within the data center
• Communication skills with other IT staff and management
