Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the physical infrastructure of a data center.
- Ensure the smooth operation, reliability, and security of the data center.
- Monitor power and cooling systems and network connectivity.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware and system software.
- Manage operating system management and deployment.
- Perform hardware break fix, replacements, and installations.
- Respond to alerts, perform preventative maintenance, roll out and upgrade firmware versions, and manage issues to minimize downtime and optimize data availability.
- Be the customer's Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
- Follow up and report on the progress of all issues.
- Provide support to users on the daily operations of the cluster.
- Perform daily system administration tasks, including granting and deleting access.
- Investigate and correct defects in the cluster as reported, adhering to service levels.
- Resolve errors through developing, testing, and implementing changes to the system.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and isolate defects.
- Test software and firmware updates for any fixes, upgrades, and security patches.
- Update customer documentation to reflect changes made to the system.
- Compile monthly reporting and participate in monthly customer Service Reviews as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Linux (e.g., Suse, RHEL, CentOS) and system administration.
- Experience in Confluent, Slurm, Server, storage, and networking break fix, installation, and replacement.
- Experience in system troubleshooting, monitoring, and support.
- Customer service skills including written and oral communication with clients.
Qualifications
- Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Confluent, Slurm, and server, storage, and networking break fix, installation, and replacement.

Pay
- $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
- On-site 3 days per week, with remote support as needed.
