About the role

The Data Center Services Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems in data centers are properly installed and functioning according to design specifications. This role involves commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Commission, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Ensure all systems meet energy efficiency requirements and comply with local codes and standards.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to mechanical system operations and maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field, preferably in data center environments.
• Proficiency in using mechanical engineering software such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Experience with commissioning and testing of HVAC systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate shift work and travel to various locations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
