About the role
AWS is growing rapidly and seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to join the expanding Infrastructure Operations team, managing and improving site security operations in data centers.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage physical security operations
- Develop post orders and define security procedures
- Handle site incidents and work with security equipment
- Participate in construction projects
- Drive day-to-day process improvement activities and manage vendors
- Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
- Participate in recurring site audits and reviews
- Test new security technologies
About the team
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team supports all AWS data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment ensuring customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security.
Basic qualifications
- Experience with access control and CCTV systems
- 6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of law enforcement, or 8+ years of security-related professional experience
- 1+ years of team leadership experience
- College degree (bachelor's) or background in one or more of: military (career/military police/military special operations forces), law enforcement with arrest authority (police academy graduate), TSA security screening, correctional facility officer
Pay
Base salary range: 28.89 – 50.52 USD hourly. Your package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
