About the role

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Managing physical security operations
  • Developing post orders and defining security procedures
  • Handling site incidents
  • Working with security equipment
  • Participating in construction projects
  • Driving day-to-day process improvement activities
  • Managing vendors
  • Ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
  • Participating in re-occurring site audits and reviews
  • Testing new security technologies

Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with access control and CCTV systems
  • 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment, or 5+ years of relevant discipline work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of law enforcement, or 4+ years of security-related professional experience
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience
  • 2+ years of law enforcement or security-related, or 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement experience

Pay

The base salary range for this position is 28.89 – 50.52 USD hourly. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
