About the role

AWS is looking for an exceptional Data Center Security Specialist to support security programs within data center facilities. The role involves managing physical security operations, developing post orders, defining security procedures, handling site incidents, working with security equipment, participating in construction projects, and driving process improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Owns the execution of multiple security disciplines in support of fast-moving operations
• Manages a wide array of projects designed to protect personnel, customer data, and critical infrastructure from insider and external threats
• Manages onsite security forces
• Delivers support and services in an environment where priorities shift extremely fast
• Operates independently, manages security projects, continuously triages and prioritizes accordingly
• Communicates clearly and compellingly, THINKS BIG and outside the box, delivers exceptional products/service
• Manages physical security operations, develops post orders, defines security procedures, handles site incidents, works with security equipment, participates in construction projects, drives day-to-day process improvement activities, and manages vendors
• Ensures consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
• Participates in re-occurring site audits and reviews and tests new security technologies

Requirements

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience
• 4+ years of security-related professional, or 2+ years of security-related professional experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
