Data Center Physical Security Specialist, AMER-NW Data Center Security

About the role

AWS is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to support security programs within data center facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of supporting security programs, project management experience, and comprehensive security operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of multiple security disciplines in support of fast-moving operations
• Manage a wide array of projects designed to protect personnel, customer data, and critical infrastructure from insider and external threats
• Manage onsite security forces
• Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
• Participate in re-occurring site audits and reviews and testing new security technologies
• Drive day-to-day process improvement activities
• Manage vendors

Requirements

• 3+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience
• 2+ years of project management experience
• 3+ years of process improvement procedures experience
• 3+ years of vendor management, or 3+ years of relevant discipline work experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 5+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement experience
• 2+ years of root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solving experience
• 2+ years of work in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans experience
• 4+ years writing detailed reports
• Familiarity with security program automation, implementation and various Access/Intrusion Control Systems

Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.
