Data Center Project Manager *

About the role

HDR is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to join one of the largest, fastest-growing, and comprehensive TMT practices in the industry. Opportunities are available in preferred locations across the US and UK.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver data center and mission-critical projects from planning to completion.
• Develop and secure work from a robust global client base.
• Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion.
• Mentor and manage a team to promote career growth and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate workload and ensure timely document completion.
• Recruit and retain mission-critical staff.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing and design meetings.
• Promote HDR through regular client interface.
• Collaborate on development strategies and new business prospects.
• Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
• Control project quality, schedule, scope, and budget.
• Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Aid in HDR interviews and presentations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Additional Duties

• Mentor/Manage: Help grow a team that fosters a collaborative environment promoting career growth, client satisfaction, and mutual support.
• Coordinate Workload: Ensure timely completion of project documents.
• Mission Critical Staff Recruiting and Retention: Manage recruitment and retention efforts for mission-critical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in project planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning.
• Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Strong desire to stay current with industry trends.
• Working knowledge of Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, and ISO standards regarding PUE, CUE, and WUE.
• Working knowledge of Newforma Project Center and/or ProjectWise Document Management Software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong motivation and professional initiative.
• Focused on client outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 7 years related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
