Data Center Project Manager *
About the role
HDR is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to join one of the largest, fastest-growing, and comprehensive TMT practices in the industry. Opportunities are available in preferred locations across the US and UK.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver data center and mission-critical projects from planning to completion.
- Develop and secure work from a robust global client base.
- Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion.
- Mentor and manage a team to promote career growth and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate workload and ensure timely document completion.
- Recruit and retain mission-critical staff.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing and design meetings.
- Promote HDR through regular client interface.
- Collaborate on development strategies and new business prospects.
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
- Control project quality, schedule, scope, and budget.
- Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Aid in HDR interviews and presentations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Additional Duties
- Mentor/Manage: Help grow a team that fosters a collaborative environment promoting career growth, client satisfaction, and mutual support.
- Coordinate Workload: Ensure timely completion of project documents.
- Mission Critical Staff Recruiting and Retention: Manage recruitment and retention efforts for mission-critical staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in project planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning.
- Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Strong desire to stay current with industry trends.
- Working knowledge of Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, and ISO standards regarding PUE, CUE, and WUE.
- Working knowledge of Newforma Project Center and/or ProjectWise Document Management Software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong motivation and professional initiative.
- Focused on client outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 7 years related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years project management experience.
- Ability to interact with various design teams.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
