Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and configure servers, blades, APCs, storage, and backup systems in the data center.
Install and manage on-site computer workstations, monitors, laptops, printers, and scanners.
Install and configure software packages, including routine and emergency patches, upgrades, antivirus software, and anti-virus signature files.
Log trouble calls into the Service Now tracking system and recommend closure of tickets upon completion.
Replace basic system components within the data center and coordinate warranty replacements with vendors.
Prepare computer equipment for shipping or turn-in, including sanitizing hard drives and palletizing equipment.
Support computer labs by ensuring all computers and printers are operational, including loading paper and replacing printer cartridges.
Assist system and database administrators as needed, including disk cloning and restoring backup systems.
Participate in the disaster recovery team for the data center, including operations and training exercises.
Apply security upgrades and patches as instructed.
Provide summaries of completed trouble calls and updates to management personnel as necessary.

Requirements

4+ years of relevant experience.
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
Secret Security Clearance.
CompTIA Security+ and ITIL Certification (preferred).

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
Ability to ambulate throughout an office and between several buildings.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
25% travel by land or air transportation.
