About the role

AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our network. Responsibilities include scaling support for multiple data center locations, day-to-day capacity management, and collaborating with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution. You will leverage your experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks, as well as network implementation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
  • Travel within and outside of the regional work area as required
  • Provide after-hours support and participate in primary responder rotation in a 24/7 environment

Requirements

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
  • Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
  • Safely ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways without limitation
  • Work authorization without employer intervention (Amazon cannot provide sponsorship now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure

Pay

Starting pay for this position ranges from $27.98 to $48.99 USD hourly, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
