Perform logistics duties within a data center including inventory management, asset management, and data management. The role is responsible for execution and prioritization of daily operational activities, completion of tasks within SLA and quality standards, and maintenance of high productivity while balancing accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities
- Support daily logistics, inventory, and operational activities within a data center environment, ensuring accuracy, security, compliance, and service level expectations are consistently met.
- Manage inventory control, asset tracking, data management, and the movement of hardware and equipment throughout the asset lifecycle, including receiving, shipping, staging, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of servers, networking equipment, cables, and related components.
- Work independently and in a lead capacity when needed, adjusting workflows and priorities to meet changing operational demands.
- Communicate and coordinate workload changes within scope of responsibility to ensure tasks are completed within established SLA and quality standards.
- Ensure proper inventory tracking, labeling, chain of custody, and inventory accuracy using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ).
- Investigate and resolve inventory and operational discrepancies, communicate risks to service performance, and implement corrective actions within authority.
- Follow established escalation procedures for complex issues.
- Support audit readiness, root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and implementation of new workflows, tools, and operational layouts.
- Promote adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security requirements, safety protocols, and handling guidelines.
- Identify and escalate safety risks, participate in safety initiatives, and demonstrate reliability, accountability, and consistent performance.
- Support seamless workflow handoffs and share best practices across shifts or teams.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Previous experience in a data center, logistics, warehousing, or team leadership environment is preferred.
- Experience in inventory management, picking and packing, RMA processing, equipment handling, and data center operations.
- Strong leadership capabilities and exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced computer and mathematical skills.
- Ability to utilize computer systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Pay
$27.80 per hour
Schedule
1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday (subject to change)
