About the role
Perform logistics duties within a data center including inventory management, asset management, and data management. The role is responsible for execution and prioritization of daily operational activities, completion of tasks within SLA and quality standards, and maintenance of high productivity while balancing accuracy and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the workflow and work duty allocation for team members within an assigned department of the facility to include: Put-Away, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping / Pack-out, Staging, Order Selecting areas
- Adjust workflows and priorities to meet operational demands
- Communicate and delegate workload changes within scope of responsibility to hit tasks within SLA and quality standards
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies within defined thresholds
- Ensure proper tracking, labeling, and chain of custody of inventory
- Identify and enforce adherence to established SOPs, safety protocols, and handling guidelines
- Support audit readiness and corrective actions
- Communicate risks to SLA performance early and clearly
- Assist with identifying root causes of errors, delays, or process breakdowns
- Take immediate corrective actions within authority
- Use escalation pathways appropriately for complex issues
- Provide timely, accurate updates to stakeholders
- Support seamless workflow handoffs
- Support implementation of new workflows, tools, or layouts
- Share and communicate best practices across shifts or teams
- Identify and escalate safety risks or hazards immediately
- Participate in safety initiatives and reporting
- Demonstrate reliability and consistency in performance
- Train associates, monitor production, and give constructive feedback
- Provide training to new associates and assist the Supervisor to ensure highest customer standards
- Safe and efficient operation of a stand-up Order Picker and Reach Truck; experience with Sit-down, Stand-up reach truck, or Electric Pallet Jack is a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Minimum of 1+ years in a progressive role within a supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or distribution environment as a Team Lead, Workflow Planner, or other role that requires making decisions and leading other associates
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience operating stand-up material handling equipment
- Previous experience in a data center is desirable
- Ability to utilize a computer
