About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Data Center Logistics Manager oversees multiple spare parts rooms located in staffed and un-staffed Data Centers. Key responsibilities include developing performance goals, building and executing productivity plans, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy, and conducting monthly audits.

Responsibilities

  • Logistics Operations Leader: Develop performance goals and objectives, build and execute productivity plans, determine timelines, partner with other Logistics Managers, remove roadblocks, and meet customer expectations.

  • Logistics Business Leader: Act as the primary point of contact for communication and escalation, develop team strategies, ensure operational practices are compliant, generate and filter information, and create recognition and communication programs.

  • Logistics People Leader: Manage staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process change initiatives, facilitate team coordination, support personal and team growth, distribute new opportunities, hold 1:1 meetings, ensure accountability, and raise the bar for new internal hires.

  • Process Improver: Drive process standardization and continuous improvement, contribute to operational deployment plans, teach process creation, conduct post-deployment evaluations, advise on process improvement strategies, and conduct monthly audits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of logistics operations experience

  • 2+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices experience

  • 5+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports experience

Qualifications

  • Experience managing inventory in warehousing, retail or distribution setting

  • Experience in transportation operations and industry knowledge

  • Experience effectively prioritizing work time to ensure efficiency

  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems

  • Experience with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Base salary range: $65,000.00 - $113,800.00 USD annually
