Our client, a leading organization in the data center and infrastructure industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Datacenter Engineer to join their dynamic team in Miami, FL.

About the role

As a Datacenter Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Center Operations team, supporting infrastructure maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure high availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support data center hardware, infrastructure, and supporting systems.
  • Perform network cabling, patching, cross-connects, cable routing, rack elevations, cable management, and connectivity validation for network, compute, and storage environments.
  • Coordinate fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and termination activities with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage infrastructure, including environmental monitoring systems, access control, and surveillance.
  • Assist in planning and executing data center projects such as equipment deployments, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

  • US Passport holder due to travel requirements to US and global locations.
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Center Engineering and Operations.
  • Experience managing Information Technology infrastructure, structured cabling (copper and fiber optic), and network cabling.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic standards, installation, testing, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
