Data Center COE Project Specialist

About the role

This position reports to: Director, Data Center Services Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Conducting analysis of plan versus actual project performance.
• Making sure requests for invoicing are released on time, addressing delays, errors, etc.
• Supporting coordination of various administrative tasks, ensuring proper documentation and follow up are provided via email, SharePoint, and Project Management software.
• Maintaining compliance with internal and customer-driven Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and response times, engaging proactively with all assigned projects.
• Assisting the project manager with scheduling kickoff and recurring meetings with stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting and resolving coordination and/or administrative concerns.
• Acting as backup support to the project manager on weekly calls.
• Reviewing project plans and ensuring that site safety and integrity topics are identified and addressed before the start of the project.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Combination of higher education and relevant work experience highly preferred.
• 3+ years of project support experience required.
• CAPM certification or PMP highly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Electrical-based project management or project support.
• Current experience with Microsoft Office Suite required, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Microsoft Project Planner a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work across all U.S. based time zones as needed.

The role is contributing to the U.S. Data Center Services Center of Excellence (CoE) within our Electrification Service division. The position is expected to pay between $70,000 and $90,000 USD annually. ABB offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
