Data / BI Analyst

Responsibilities

• Work closely with various departments to create impactful visual representations of data that enhance understanding and drive actionable insights.
• Utilize Power BI, R, and Python to transform raw data into compelling visual stories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and understand key metrics for visualization.
• Assist in the creation of dashboards that monitor performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in gathering feedback from users and iterate on visualizations to enhance usability and impact.
• Assist with documenting visualization methodologies and creating a library of visual assets.
• Work directly with experienced professionals to gain insights into the strategic role of data in decision-making.
• Hone technical skills in data visualization and programming while contributing to real-world projects.
• Directly impact how teams understand and utilize data, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Currently pursuing or possesses a degree in Data Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and visualize complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics in data presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python.
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaborative projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Proficient in creating clear and concise documentation for processes and procedures.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
