About the role
We are looking for a Data & Automation Analyst to support manufacturing operations through modern reporting, analytics, and automation solutions in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position will focus on turning business data into clear insights, improving decision-making, and streamlining workflows across teams. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to build scalable dashboards, reliable data structures, and practical automation tools.
Responsibilities
- Create and enhance interactive dashboards, recurring reports, and visual analytics using Power BI and other Microsoft-based tools.
- Work closely with operational and business teams to gather reporting objectives, establish meaningful performance metrics, and expand access to trusted data.
- Develop automated workflows with Microsoft Power Platform solutions to reduce manual effort and improve process efficiency.
- Structure, maintain, and refine queries, datasets, and data models to support accurate and scalable reporting.
- Promote strong data governance by helping improve data quality, consistency, and standard reporting practices across the organization.
- Contribute to enterprise reporting efforts, including reporting enhancements, data-related projects, and migration support when needed.
- Provide administration and user support for Microsoft 365 applications tied to reporting, collaboration, and business productivity.
- Assess current business processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend technology-enabled improvements.
- Prepare clear documentation, deliver end-user guidance, and encourage adoption of reporting and automation capabilities.
- Explore and apply AI-driven tools and emerging technologies that strengthen reporting, productivity, and business insight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or comparable relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, automation, or process optimization.
- Demonstrated success building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Strong skills in data modeling, query development, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
- Understanding of workflow automation, reporting standards, and continuous process improvement methods.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to partner with business leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Additional exposure to SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, AI-enabled business tools, or enterprise reporting environments is preferred.
