Data & Analytics Engineer
About the role
This individual partners with both technical and non-technical teams to organize large datasets, automate data flows, and create user-friendly reporting tools. Success in the role requires balancing independent problem-solving with collaborative communication, while maintaining strong attention to data accuracy, accessibility, and long-term maintainability of systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance structured data repositories and reporting layers
- Develop and maintain automated data ingestion and transformation workflows
- Create advanced database queries and reusable logic for data preparation
- Consolidate information from varied systems while validating accuracy and consistency
- Utilize modern cloud or hybrid data services to manage storage and processing
- Create visual reports, scorecards, or dashboards aligned with stakeholder needs
- Collaborate with internal partners to define metrics and reporting definitions
- Maintain documentation for data structures, definitions, and processes
- Contribute to related projects or cross-functional initiatives as assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Analytics, or comparable experience
- Several years of hands-on experience with databases, reporting, or data engineering tasks
- Proficiency in SQL and relational data concepts
- Exposure to at least one major cloud or hosted data platform
- Understanding of data modeling or schema design principles
- Experience creating business intelligence reports or visual analytics tools
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Qualifications
