Data & Analytics Engineer

About the role

CGI is seeking a dedicated and experienced Data and Analytics Engineer to join our team in Nashville. As a full-time consultant, you will solve important business and technical problems for local, enterprise clients. You'll collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, making an impact with both internal and client partners while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business partners to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and recommend technical solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise Data and Analytics solutions for complex business problems.
• Develop, document, and implement:
  • Data models for transactional systems and/or reporting solutions
  • ETL for analytics solutions and data migrations
  • Data analytic and reporting solutions such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Contribute to estimation for project tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse group of clients, team members, managers, and domain experts.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with steadfast attention to detail.
• Experience developing enterprise, full-lifecycle Data and Analytics solutions with hands-on experience in one or more of the following: SQL, ETL, data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or Computer Information Systems (MIS or CIS) or a related degree.

Skills

Desired (non-essential) skills:

• Hands-on experience building end-to-end data and analytics solutions in each of the following areas: data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, reporting, and analytics.
• Experience building and designing reporting and transactional models in various database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, AWS RDS, RedShift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake.
• Experience planning and conducting complex data migrations.
• Understanding of Master Data Management tools and processes.
• Software development experience in languages such as Java, .NET, or Python.
• Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience building AI solutions or leveraging AI in software development.
• Experience leading small teams of 1 to 3 people.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 - $156,700.00.

This position is located in Nashville, TN, in a hybrid working model.
