Data/Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, explore, and mine structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Create Python-based scripts, utilities, and reusable components to support analytics and data initiatives
  • Consume and integrate data from APIs and external data sources
  • Apply foundational statistical, mathematical, and machine learning concepts to solve business problems
  • Validate, profile, and assess data quality to ensure reliable outcomes
  • Design solutions with scalability, maintainability, and future reuse in mind
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and data professionals to build sustainable analytics solutions
  • Document findings, methodologies, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Learn emerging tools, technologies, and best practices related to analytics engineering and data science
  • Develop a deep understanding of the data, business context, and desired outcomes before implementing solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in analytics, data engineering, software engineering, data science, or related technical work
  • Strong working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, analysis, or automation
  • Strong mathematical and analytical reasoning skills
  • Understanding of core data concepts including data structures, transformations, and data quality

Pay

The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
