Analytics / Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented analytics engineer to help build and maintain robust data models and transformation logic that power our analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL and data warehousing, and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data transformation logic and data models using dbt and SQL
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analysis
• Implement and maintain data quality checks and testing procedures
• Document data models, transformations, and business logic
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using visualization tools to surface actionable insights
• Support the delivery of business and operational metrics in partnership with Analytics and senior team members
• Work jointly with team members and stakeholders to accomplish shared outcomes
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand business requirements and translate them into data needs
• Build collaborative relationships across engineering and analytics teams

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in SQL
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and analytics best practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Bachelor of Computer Science or related field

Preferred

• Experience with dbt or similar transformation tools
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, Databricks, BigQuery)
• Experience with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar)
• Interest in AI, machine learning, and enterprise intelligence applications

$120,000 – $130,000 a year
