Data Analyst - Transportation
This position reports to a senior analyst level role.
About the role
A Transportation Data Analyst – I is both a thinker and a doer who doesn’t hesitate to roll up their sleeves and dig into the numbers, while also being able to train and develop NFI locations to do the same. In this role, you will analyze data and create visuals and reports with a “can do” approach. The Analyst will help understand larger operational concepts to bring them to life within visualization projects. You are responsible for identifying and extracting KPIs, risk and compliance data, and converting it into easy-to-digest formats, while ensuring users in the field can understand and utilize these datapoints to help the business grow.
Responsibilities
- Generate visuals in reports using PowerBI and other Microsoft products to help operators in the field run their business better.
- Train and develop internal operations teams on reporting structure, including creating SOPs, best practices, and process improvement plans.
- Collaborate with other data analysts to understand datapoints from across the company and create new visuals for ops teams.
- Generate and analyze data reports from internal and external sources.
- Develop processes and plans for maintaining existing reports, trackers, and documents, including the creation, incorporation, and maintenance of new reports.
- Generate SOP documents for the existing reporting structure.
- Strengthen industry knowledge and proficiency in relevant applications.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and operations teams across the country.
- Exhibit a highly organized approach and superior attention to detail.
- Take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field.
- Excellent computer skills in Office applications (Microsoft preferred).
- Proficient in PowerBI, Tableau, Minitab, or other related tools (PowerBI preferred).
- 0-3 years of experience in a supply chain field or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to apply business statistics in problem-solving (descriptive statistics, probability, frequency distribution, time-series forecasting, correlation & regression models).
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and tools quickly and thoroughly.
- High degree of productivity while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team and demonstrate strong team commitment.
- Comfortable performing in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and research skills.
- Flexibility to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it.
- Travel expectations up to 25%.
- Problem analysis and resolution skills at both strategic and functional levels.
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $59,722.26 - $79,629.68. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
