About the role

V-Soft Consulting is hiring a remote Data Analyst – Salesforce to support our premier client during the Salesforce design and delivery cycle. The role focuses on data profiling, cleansing, validation, transformation, and BI/reporting analysis to ensure data readiness for migration.

Responsibilities

  • Review current data sources relevant to Salesforce design and migration.
  • Profile data to identify duplicates, missing values, inconsistent formats, outdated records, invalid values, and other data quality concerns.
  • Assist with data cleaning, standardization, normalization, and transformation planning.
  • Support source-to-target mapping between current systems and proposed Salesforce structures.
  • Build validation reports, exception reports, reconciliation reports, and BI views to evaluate data readiness.
  • Identify gaps between vendor assumptions, source data realities, business needs, and reporting requirements.
  • Document data definitions, transformation rules, assumptions, exceptions, and unresolved decisions.
  • Support internal staff in reviewing vendor-provided mapping, migration, and reporting documentation.
  • Provide analysis to determine whether data should be migrated, transformed, archived, summarized, or excluded.
  • Participate in working sessions with staff and project stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in data profiling, cleansing, validation, and transformation.
  • Proficiency in BI/reporting analysis using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, CRM Analytics, SQL-based reporting, or similar tools.
  • Experience with source-to-target mapping and migration readiness.
  • Strong SQL, Excel, structured data analysis, and reporting datasets skills.
  • Ability to identify and document data quality issues.
  • Experience working with business and technical stakeholders during active system implementation projects.
  • Ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for internal teams.

  • Strengthen internal capacity during the Salesforce design and delivery cycle.
  • Validate the current state of source data before design and migration decisions are finalized.
  • Identify data quality, consistency, duplication, and transformation issues early.
  • Support BI and reporting analysis needed to inform Salesforce design decisions.
  • Create documentation that helps internal staff challenge assumptions and make informed decisions.
  • Reduce the risk of rushed delivery resulting in poor data structure, incomplete requirements, or costly rework.
