About The Role
Join BILL as a Risk Portfolio Management Analyst and help support how the Risk Management division executes at scale. The Risk Portfolio Management and Strategic Programs team operates at the intersection of risk strategy and operational execution, owning programs, partnerships, and frameworks that enable BILL’s risk organization to move swiftly and confidently.
- Translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes across credit risk, fraud risk, and reputational risk domains.
- Support program and vendor management coordination within the risk organization.
- Assist in building operating frameworks that leverage AI tooling and automation to reduce manual processes.
- Manage project trackers focused on strategic execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, portfolio analytics, program management, or related fields within financial services, ecommerce, or fintech.
- Proven experience managing medium-scale, cross-functional programs or workstreams with autonomy over deliverables, tracking, and timelines.
- Hands-on experience managing third-party vendor relationships, including performance measurement, audit compliance, and ROI analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of payment products and risk management principles across credit, fraud, or reputational risk domains.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights and risk analysis clearly and effectively to multi-level audiences.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, with the ability to write queries and support data collection for portfolio analysis.
- Experience evaluating or deploying AI and automation tools such as Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or LLM-powered assistants is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic portfolio plans by applying statistical and analytical techniques to identify performance patterns and early risk indicators from data analysis.
- Formulate and maintain operating frameworks that support risk initiatives, incorporating automation and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual workflows.
- Design and develop advanced dashboards using tools such as Tableau or AWS QuickSight, creating compelling visuals and narratives tailored for diverse audiences.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships, including tracking performance metrics, evaluating ROI, and overseeing budgets to ensure vendors deliver value aligned with risk program objectives.
- Collaborate with risk analysts and data scientists to formulate control strategies based on data insights and research, balancing short- and medium-term strategic considerations.
- Oversee governance and audit documentation processes within the risk division, ensuring rigorous tracking, logging, and reporting of programs and vendor activities based on performance data.
