About the role
The Quality Control Data Analyst at Clearspeed plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and quality of audio and digital data used in our AI and risk assessment processes. This full-time remote position requires meticulous review, analysis, and evaluation of data files to confirm compliance with established quality standards. The role involves inspecting data, identifying irregularities or quality issues, documenting findings with precision, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Training will be provided post-hire to equip candidates with the necessary skills for specialized quality control procedures. The successful candidate will perform all work from a designated, secure work location, adhering to company policies on security and confidentiality. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, may be necessary based on business needs, with occasional travel up to 5%.
Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, and accurately label audio recordings and other data files using designated software tools and quality control procedures
- Inspect, classify, and analyze data according to established guidelines to determine quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Identify actual or potential quality issues, irregularities, or anomalies; document findings with attention to detail
- Communicate observations and concerns to team leads; escalate issues to management when necessary
- Maintain precise records of quality assessments, findings, and related activities
- Assist with ongoing quality control projects and initiatives as assigned
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational goals and project deadlines
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying trends and recurring issues to enhance quality standards
- Apply established rules, procedures, and quality criteria consistently during data evaluation
- Complete QC Analyst basic certification training and testing; exercise professional judgment to make independent risk assessments
- Perform additional duties related to quality control as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, data annotation, content moderation, transcription, compliance review, or related analytical roles
- Strong proficiency with computer applications and digital tools
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience reviewing audio samples, speech data, or digital content
- Experience handling large data sets, databases, or data management systems
- Native or advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension); additional languages are a plus
- Eligibility for US Government security clearance (must be a US citizen)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
