About the role

As a Data Analyst – LFI, you’ll be part of a team within Business Data Governance preparing for Large Financial Institution (LFI) status. You’ll support the organization by gathering, analyzing, and reporting key business data, becoming a subject-matter expert in Reg YY and related reporting regulations (e.g., FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15). You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to develop, test, and execute data for LFI readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business requirements to support LFI readiness as required by FRB regulations for a Category IV institution.
  • Provide input into Technology’s deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and problem-solve requirements, defects, or questions.
  • Understand Federal Reserve rules (FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15) and reflect changes in business requirements documents.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reports delivered to internal stakeholders.
  • Update and optimize existing reporting processes for accuracy, efficiency, and relevance.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Perform data validation and regular quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with teams across the business to gather data requirements and understand analytical needs.
  • Use SQL tools for querying and analyzing data.
  • Maintain documentation of data sourcing processes and methodologies.
  • Develop data visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights effectively.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience handling and interpreting large datasets.
  • Experience with project management and managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to learn applicable regulatory regulations, including Reg YY (e.g., FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15).
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and commercial banking products.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, industry standards, and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced written and verbal communication skills.
