About the role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in Upstream Oil & Gas to support data analysis, reporting, and visualization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have advanced SQL skills, hands-on experience with Power BI or Spotfire (both preferred), and the ability to transform complex drilling and completions data into meaningful business insights.
Responsibilities
- Import, cleanse, validate, and analyze large datasets to support business decision-making.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI or Spotfire.
- Present analytical findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards.
- Work with upstream drilling and completions datasets to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or Spotfire (experience with both is a strong plus).
- Experience working with Upstream Oil & Gas, specifically Drilling & Completions datasets.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with Databricks and data engineering concepts.
- Professional certifications related to data analytics or business intelligence are a plus.
